This piece was inspired by "Girl in the Fireplace," one of my favorite Doctor Who episodes, and the lavish palace of Versailles. The Doctor and Reinette were cut out months ago, but then the project stalled. I simply couldn't finish. At last, I stumbled across a gorgeous panorama of the Hall of Mirrors and fell in love. The fancy, fussy gold detailing was right up my alley!
So, as they say in Paris, "Voila!"
Material: paper, matboard, mechanical pencil, colored pencil, Exacto knife, scissors, Art Gel Medium

Oh, I ADORE this! One of my favorite episodes, lovely composition, and I LOVE that it's cut out paper rather than a painting! First time I've seen Doctor Who art made this way, absolutely love this ^_^
