I absolutly love Al Bear! How did you make the armour?
No offence ment, but Scar bear's scar looks a little beg, but who am I to judge? Scar was a really go character in the story. I was mad when he died (in the Anime)
Al Bear was made with duct tape and paper plates - lots and lots of duct tape and paper plates. ~aradiadiane spent 27 hours putting the whole thing together (she had looooooooooots of free time, and is a stickler for detail). At the end of the day, we had to cut the poor bear free!
If you have any more questions, I'm sure she'd be happy to answer them!
As for Scar Bear - no offense taken! After all, he was a last-minute addition, and definitely the simplest of the lot. People recognized him, so I'm calling it good!
Thanks for the answers! Also, if I may make a suggestion for next years bear, I would really like to see a Inu-yasha bear, or a Cloud/Sephiroth bear. I can only imagine a bear sized Tetsuiga, or Masamune!
Last year, I lacked the funds for a full cosplay. I decided it would be cheaper to clothe a bear instead - thus, Squall Bear and Build-A-Cosplay were born! [link]
Well, Squall Bear was a hit ("That is the scariest teddy bear I've ever seen!"), so I wanted to do it again. Sometime during the summer, I decided Ed or Van from Escaflowne would be good choices. I never got around to finishing Van Bear, but Ed Bear was a go! [link] Then my friend D decided to come to Ohayocon, and she wanted a bear too! So, she threw herself into creating Al Bear. (27 hours of duct tape and plates, it's a wonder she didn't go cross-eyed.)
Scar Bear was a last-minute addition, mostly because my sister was coming, and we couldn't leave her out of the plush insanity! (That, and he took about twenty minutes. Heh.)

A Cloud Bear would be adorable, though... even if that does sound like a Care Bear.
"You will be nice and caring to each other, you little brats, or you're going to have to make friends with Mr. Very Heavy Sword."
Sephiroth bear: I'm going to kill you all.
Barret bear: Sh-it! Don't make me kick your spikey haired ass!
Wakka bear: Give me a hug, ya?
Ansem (KHI) bear: I shall purge every heart with DARKNESSSSsssssss......
Maes Hughs Bear: "He explodes their brains"
Miroku Bear: I want you to... Bear my children... (BEAR! Get it?!?)
My mind is full of scary things... I'm sure you could think of more

Now, what to do for next year...
